World-famous natural spectacle: Sardona Tectonic Arena
The Sardona Tectonic Arena was named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008. Millions of years ago, various types of rock were pressed together to form a unique natural spectacle. Don’t miss your chance to see this view! An easy walk via the valley station in Flims takes you to the Cassonsgrat, from where you have a good view of this phenomenon. The panoramic vista on this tour is peerless and will leave a lasting impression. We promise!
Within touching distance of the mountains: Segnesböden
The Segnesböden invite you here for your next adventure! These features consist of an upper and a lower area, both of which are gigantic flat moorland bogs that constantly change their course. A mixture of brooks, gravel meadows, moss and stones create an atmosphere all of its own in this location. Come within touching distance of the mountains, at 2,100m above sea level.
One of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps: Bargis
The high valley of Bargis, between Piz Mirutta and Flimserstein, is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps, offering views you’ll remember forever. Need a little more excitement? The Pinut Via Ferrata is your answer. This thrilling excursion offers a fascinating experience of nature, and is even open to children, as long as they are 12 years old or over.
“Seven bridges must you cross”: Trutg dil Flem
… and the Trutg dil Flem, the waterway in Flims, offers six of these, all by itself. This very special kind of walking trail gives an insight into the flow of water in the Flem (the Flimser Bach). It is regarded as one of the region’s top attractions and was recently chosen by the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation as the best walking trail in Switzerland. According to the jury, “the sympathetic development of the gorge for walkers, in a unique combination of nature, art and technology, together with the contrast between an untouched mountain path and the artistic bridges” helped the feature to achieve first place.
Of course, the waterfalls, gorges and the Segnesböden can also be conquered in stages. If you would like more tips for walking in Flims, simply speak to us. We look forward to seeing you.
